Glossary
VPN (Virtual Private Network)
An encrypted connection of computers or networks via the Internet. It enables confidential data
to be exchanged via public networks.
WSUS (Windows Server Update Services)
Windows Server Update Services (abbreviation WSUS) is the software component of the
Microsoft (Windows) Server since Version 2003 which is responsible for patches and updates.
It is the successor version of the Software Update Services software component.
