Raster centering
M a n y m o n i t o r a p p l i c a t i o n s r e q u i r e t h a t t h e
displayed image or text fit completely within a
bezel that surrounds the CRT. This usually requires
that you first center the blank raster on the face
of the CRT and then center the image within the
raster. Use this image for centering the raster on
the CRT.
Turn up your monitor's brightness control until
the raster is just visible. Adjust the raster's position
a n d s i z e u s i n g t h e s i z e a n d r a s t e r c e n t e r i n g
controls. The raster centering adjustment for many
monochrome monitors consists of moving magnetic
rings on the deflection yoke.
