Encoding audio into HDMI stream This section describes how to encode audio signals, for internal and external sources, into the HDMI stream output from the generator. Encoding internal audio into HDMI content stream The HDMI generator can generate an audio stream sinewave signal, which is output with the HDMI signal.

Currently, the generator cannot independently control channels from external sources. You must use the device generating the audio signal to control the channels. 6. Load any image and an appropriate video format. 802BT HDMI Video Test Generator Users Guide (Rev A)

Testing DVI Tx with DVI Rx Quantum Data 802 DVI generators use either a Broadcom DVI transmitter or a Silicon Image DVI transmitter. The Broadcom transmitters support production and public (A1/A2 and B1/B2) keys. Generators with a Silicon Image transmitter support only production keys.
Testing HDMI Tx with HDMI Rx All HDMI transmitters in Quantum Data generators support only production keys. To test HDCP with HDMI devices: 1. Connect the HDMI transmitter on the generator to the device’s HDMI receiver. 2. Select the HdcpProd(uction) image.
Testing HDMI Tx with DVI Rx HDCP 1.1-compliant devices must interoperate with HDCP 1.0-compliant devices using the DVI protocol. Generators with an HDMI transmitter can be used to test HDCP with devices that have an DVI receiver. To test HDMI Tx with DVI Rx: 1.
The HDCP test begins automatically when you connect the display. The generator displays the image you specified if the HDCP test passed. If the test failed, the display will remain blank. See “Troubleshooting HDCP errors” on page 10. 802BT HDMI Video Test Generator Users Guide (Rev A)
Troubleshooting HDCP errors Common problems This table describes possible solutions to problems that may occur during HDCP testing. Problem Solution Transmitter could not read Bksv from the receiver, Test fails at step 3 Bksv was read correctly but is a wrong value, or an I2C error occurred.

9. The transmitter reads the Ri value from the receiver chip and compares it with its own generated Ri value. They should match to proceed. If this step fails, the test returns to step 1. 10. Generate authentication. 11. Transmitting encrypted data. 802BT HDMI Video Test Generator Users Guide (Rev A)
