The Distance to Short menu appears.
3 Use the Actions soft key to select the connection, e.g.,
Tip to Ring (A to B), Ring to Ground (B to E), and so on.
4 Use the left and right arrows to change the wire gauge, if
needed.
5 Use the up and down arrows to change the temperature
by one degree or use the keypad to enter the tempera-
ture.
NOTE:
For the resistive distance to be accurate, it is critical that
you enter the correct gauge and temperature.
6 To calculate a specific resistance in ohms to distance,
press the Actions soft key, and then select Distance to
Short Calculator.
7 Press the Leakage soft key to use the high-voltage
ohmmeter.
Results appear on the screen.
Using the DVOM, you can test for continuity, and check for
proper loop current for POTS lines.
