4 Press the Actions soft key, and then select one of the
following options:

loss frequency
5 Press the Start soft key to begin the test.
Results appear in the TIMS Return Loss screen.
You have completed the test.
This test measures return loss over a range of frequencies,
from 200 Hz to 5000 Hz. The HST displays the return loss in
decibels.
To measure return loss over a range of frequencies
1 Connect the Tip (A) and Ring (B) pair (T/R or A/B) to the
line under test.
2 Select the Return Loss measurement option. See
page 58.
3 If the Return Loss screen appears, press the Actions
soft key, and then select Return Loss Sweep.

Action
Select Termination, and then
select a value, in ohms, for the ter-
mination.
Select TX Tone, and then enter a
value, from 200 to 5000 Hz, for the
frequency.
