a Connect pair 1 using the black and red leads, placing
2 full twists in the cable.
b Connect the pair 1 green lead to Ground (Earth).
c Connect pair 2 using the yellow and blue leads,
placing 2 full twists in the cable.
d Connect the pair 2 green lead to Ground (Earth).
NOTE:
Your physical connector may vary, depending on what you
ordered.
The line is connected and you are ready to begin testing.
With the spectral noise measurement, the HST-3000 can
detect and measure the existence of interference such as AM
radio. The HST-3000 can display the noise on the line.
To measure WB2 spectral noise

Connect the Tip (A), Ring (B), and Ground (Earth) leads
to the line under test, as described in

Press the Display soft key, and then press the 2 key.

Select the span:
– 20 kHz to 7.5 MHz
– 20 kHz to 17.3 MHz
– 17.6 MHz to 30 MHz
– 20 kHz to 30 MHz
– 20 kHz to 30 MHz, 10kHz

Press the Start soft key to run the test.
