This includes an overview of testing features, instructions for using the HST-3000 in VDSL modem emulate mode, VDSL through mode, and Ethernet TE mode.

Chapter 1 Getting Started About VDSL testing About VDSL testing The HST-3000’s VDSL features use modem emulation (VTU-R) to turn up and troubleshoot VDSL services as well as provide packet statistics and analysis. The internet protocol (IP) suite software option allows IP/PPP troubleshooting. The on-board web browser option validates an internet connec- tion.
