Optional. To change the amplitude of the signal, press
the Actions soft key, and then select Amplitude. Type
the new amplitude in the dialog box, and then press the
OK key.

Optional. Change the frequency by using the left and
right arrows.
NOTE:
The arrow keys are only available if transmitting a standard
tone and will move among only those frequencies.

Optional. To change termination, do the following:
a Press the Actions soft key.
b Select Termination.
c Select a termination.

Transmitting tones is complete.
Some provisioning situations involve two pairs; one example
is HDSL-4, which requires a two pairs. You can use the
HST-3000 to test both pairs simultaneously.
To measure loss on both pairs

Connect the Tip (A), Ring (B), T1 (A1), R1 (B1), and
Ground (E) leads to the line under test, as described in
"Connecting to the line" on page 113

neous Tx/Rx Tones.
