Users and Access Levels

Access to the CPE web management application is secured through user accounts and access levels. Two
access levels are available:
• Admin – user can access all read and write options, including user definitions.
• Guest – user can access all read options only.
Section 6.2.3.1

Adding Users

Add users and set user access levels on the Device Access Permissions pane. Only users with the Admin
access level can add and manage user accounts.
Procedure: Setting Access Permissions
1.
Click the Management button. The Management options appear in the options pane.
In the options panel, click the Access Permissions link. The Device Access Permissions pane appears.

To add a user:
• Click the
button. A new row appears in the Permitted Users table.
• In the User Name field, type the user name.
• In the Access Level column, select an access level for the user.
• In the Password column, type the password for the user.
• In the Retype Password column, retype the password for the user.
• Click the Apply button.

To delete a user:
• Select a user from the Permitted Users list.
• Click the
button.
