Additional Connector Information

TP connectors
All LAN ports, whether on XTP boards or the switcher Ethernet port use
Category (CAT) 5e, CAT 6a, or CAT 7 (CATx) unshielded twisted pair
(UTP) or shielded twisted pair (STP) cables.
The XTP ports are compatible with Extron XTP DTP 24 SF/UTP cables,
as well as CATx shielded twisted pair (F/UTP, SF/UTP, and S/FTP) and
unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) cable.
The TP cables are terminated with RJ-45 connections and are limited to
a length of 330 feet (100 m). The cables can be terminated as straight-
through cable or a crossover cable and must be properly terminated for
your application (see figure 5).

NOTE:
The switcher LAN port and the LAN ports on the input and output
boards support both 10 Mbps (10Base-T — Ethernet) and 100 Mbps
(100Base-T — Fast Ethernet), half-duplex and full-duplex Ethernet
connections. Both Ethernet speeds require CAT 5e cable at minimum.
