Installing the access panel

Procedure
1. Install the access panel:
a. Place the access panel on top of the server and slide it into place.
b. Tighten the thumbscrews.
2. Install the server into the chassis.
3. Connect all peripheral cables to the server .
4. Power up the server .

Removing the side panel

Procedure
1. Back up all server data.
2. Power down the server .
3. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server .
4. Remove the server from the chassis .
5. Place the server on a sturdy, level surface.
NOTE: To access GPU slots 1 to 4, remove the left side panel. To access GPU slots 5 to 8, remove
the right side panel.
6. Remove the side panel:
a. Loosen the six captive screws.
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the server or components, do not rotate the side panel downward or
upward.
b. Using both hands, hold the four notches and remove the side panel in a horizontal motion.
