The instrument automatically draws the sample from the vacuum collection tube

into the assay device. It then heats the blood to 37°C for a period of time specific
to each assay, and proceeds with the analysis. During this time the screen will
flash indicating that the sample is processing. Do not open the assay port cover
until the assay is complete. A calculator will display when the assay is near
completion (Figure 6-13).

CAUTION: The sample is pressurized during parts of the assay. Do
not remove the sample tube or assay device during the assay. To
abort, press the Back
