the UP
or
DN
button
to
select aircraft vertical speed within the
command
limits
of ±2000
f!.lmin

2)
VERTICAL SPEED
Control
--
RELEASE
when desired
vertical speed
is
displayed.
The
autopilot will maintain
the
displayed vertical speed.
NOTE
Avoid
selecting a climb
rate
that either cannot be
maintained or is on the performance limit of
the
airplane for
its power and weight configuration.
4.
ALTITUDE HOLD:
a. Capture preselected altitudes (if
installed):
1) ALTITUDE SELECT
Knob --
ROTATE
until
the
desired
altitude is displayed.
Note ARM
annunciation occurs
automatically with altitude selection when the autopilot is
engaged.
2) ALTITUDE SELECT MODE (ARM)
Button -- PUSH
to
alternately
disarm
or arm altitude capture.
3) Airplane --
ESTABLISH
vertical speed
necessary
to
intercept
the selected
altitude.
NOTE
It
may be possible
tp
observe minor difference between
the
autopilots' selected altitude and
the
aircraft altimeter after an
altitude capture.
These
discrepancies are attributed
to
the
autopilot and
altimeter
using
different
static
sources
combined with autopilot system
tolerances. Not inputing the
proper
barometric
setting
into the
autopilot computer will
produce
inaccuracies.
