Backing up commissioning data on the control

Before restoring an image, back up the current commissioning data as follows:

There are various ways of creating and reloading archives via the SINUMERIK Operate user
interface.
To back up and restore data, select the "Commissioning" operating area:
● Specific files in the data tree can be selected and backed up with the "System data" softkey
(Select data > Select 1st softkey (vertical softkeys) "Archive")
● The "Commissioning archives" softkey offers the following selection:
– Create and read-in a commissioning archive
– PLC hardware upgrade archive (create only SDBs)
– Create and read-in an archive of original state
Backing up the commissioning data: 828D
There are various ways of creating and reloading archives via the SINUMERIK Operate user
interface.
To back up and restore data, select the "Commissioning" operating area:
● "Back up data" softkey for an internal data backup of the entire memory.
● "Commissioning archives" softkey to create a commissioning archive or read-in a
commissioning archive
Backing up the commissioning data: 808D
To back up and restore data, select the "SYSTEM" operating area:
● "Back up data" softkey for an internal data backup of the entire memory.
● "Archive" softkey to create a series commissioning archive.
