Activating the alarm text files on the control using an HMI restart

The imported alarm text files must be activated in order to take effect on the control. The files
are activated by restarting the HMI.
If a copied-in alarm text file does not become effective, there could be a problem with the time
stamp of the file. You will find more information in the Commissioning Manual of the relevant
control.
Note
Restart for 808D
It is not possible to trigger an HMI restart via remote control for the SINUMERIK 808D. Trigger
the HMI restart locally on your machine with the shortcut <CTRL+R>.
Operating sequence
1. Connect (Page 21) yourself to a control.
2. Create (Page 91) or open (Page 95) a project.
3. Copy (Page 115) the alarm text files from the project to the control.
4. After copying has been successfully completed, start the remote control (Page 81).
