Problems connecting to the control

The connection to the control cannot be established. What could the causes be?
1. Check the cabling.
2. Check whether the connection parameters for a direct or network connection (e.g. IP
address, authentication data) have been entered correctly.
3. If the connection to the control fails despite these measures, one possible cause could be
a disabled port.
You need access to port 22 to assign parameters to a connection from the AMM to the
control. You also need access to port 5900 to assign parameters to a connection from the
AMM via remote control.
As from specific software versions of the controls, these ports are disabled by default for
security reasons.
4. Check the software version to see whether your control might be affected by the port
disable.
5. If your control is affected, enable the requisite port 22 and/or 5900 once again manually
(Page 22).
Note
The above-mentioned manual enable of the ports is not required for older CNC software
versions of the above-mentioned controls.
