6.4 Backing up/restoring a CompactFlash Card
Operating sequence
1. To create a data storage medium image of the CompactFlash card / USB flash drive, click
"Tools" > "Create CF card image" in the main window menu.

2. Select the card reader of the PC where the CompactFlash card or USB flash drive is located.

3. Click "OK" and specify the file in which the image is to be created.
4. The file is created.
Note
CompactFlash card readers integrated into a directory, rather than into the PG/PC as a
drive, are neither offered for selection nor supported.
The CompactFlash card reader must be integrated into Windows as a drive with drive letters.
Note
Commissioning data must be backed up separately
The created image does not contain any commissioning data.
Back up the current commissioning data before restoring an image. For further information,
see Section Backing up commissioning data on the control (Page 177).
