Note: The field on the data entry screen displays
only the low limit of the range you specified.
You can repeat steps 1-5 to specify ranges for additional
fields if necessary. Then press F10 to start the search,
or specify sorting or fields to be displayed as described
below.

Sorting Displayed Records

When the database search feature performs a search
and retrieves multiple records, it displays them in the
same order they occur in the database. If you wish, how-
ever, you can sort the retrieved records for display in an-
other order. For example, you may want to list the
retrieved records in order of identification number or in
alphabetical order by last name.
You can also sort by multiple fields. For example, you
might sort first by department number and then by last
name. As a result, all records from the same department
would be grouped together, and records within each de-
partment would be arranged alphabetically by employee
last name.
Specify sorting for retrieved records as follows. (You
must specify sorting before starting a search.)
1. Press F3 to open the options window.
