Diagnosing Scanner Problems

SCANNER DIAGNOSIS
Below are the most common scanner problems and
their solutions. For additional assistance with any prob-
lem, contact the Polaroid Resource Center (page 2).
Horizontal Stripes on Scanned Portraits
Closely spaced horizontal lines (A) on the scanned por-
trait usually indicate that the scanner requires
recalibration.

CORDUR.EPS
If these lines appear, calibrate the scanner according to
the procedure on page 125. If the scanner requires fre-
quent calibration, it may need service. Contact the Po-
laroid Resource Center (page 2) for further information.
Scanner Fails to Power Up
If the scanner fails to start when the scanner power
switch is turned on, make sure the power cord is se-
curely connected to the scanner and an active power
outlet. If the power cord is properly connected, the
power fuse may need replacement as described in Re-
placing the Portrait Scanner Fuse on page 127.
