Operator Panel Assembly Removal

1)
Remove the front cover assembly (3.2).
2)
Remove the rear cover assembly (3.3).
3)
Remove the patient button assembly from the disk drives panel .
4)
Remove the drive housing assembly (3.5).
5)
Remove the three screws that secure the CRT bracket clamp.
6)
Disconnect:
the large edge connector on the CRT PCB;

the brightness control potentiometer connector;
P
the chinrest switch flex-cable connector from the Motor Driver PCB
P
remove the CPU enclosure lid and then disconnect the touch screen ribbon
P
cable from connector JTS on the Backplane PCB.

Remove the disk/tape drive ribbon cables from their clip(s) on the inside of the
operator panel assembly.
8)
Remove the two screws located at the two bottom corners on the backside of the
operator panel assembly (Figure 3-2). These two screws secure the bottom of the
operator panel to the instrument chassis.
9)
Loosen the two captive screws, behind the top of the CRT, which are securing the
CRT PCB support bracket to the instrument chassis. (Hold onto the operator panel
assembly as you loosen the screws, to prevent it from falling.)
10) Remove the operator panel assembly by manipulating it up slightly and to the left
while pulling straight out.
