PAT700 Total Organic Carbon Analyzer – Alarms

Critical error alarms

A critical error occurs any time the analyzer cannot function due to an error in the system. The
error appears as a full-screen, flashing message. All operation ceases until the error condition
has been corrected. The current analysis is aborted. Touching the screen provides access to
the alarm acknowledge dialog box. See
Table 7-2

Warning alarms

A warning occurs any time one of the subsystems is not operating at a normal level. When a
warning condition is present, a warning indicator appears on the display. Operation may
continue with a warning condition present. When the warning condition has been corrected,
the indicator disappears. See

Analyzer cannot start IO module.
Analyzer cannot start TOC module
Analyzer cannot start Ethernet module.
Analyzer cannot switch from one lamp to the other.
Failed to initialize pump to correct speed.

Temperature inside analyzer is out of normal operating range.
• Both UV lamps have failed.
• Replace both lamps as soon as possible.
• Analyzer cannot measure conductivity and temperature.
• Restart analyzer.
• If restarting doesn't resolve error, phone customer service at
1–800–866–8854.
An error occurred during hardware initialization.

Conductivity out of bounds for temperature conversion.
Unable to finish oxidation in 35 minutes.
