4 . Be careful not to hit the plastic master drive gear when installing the master unit. [A damaged
gear causes jitter.]

Charge
The charge wire and the grid plate should be cleaned at every service call. [Clean the charge wire
with the fiber-optics]
Always make sure the reflectors, exposure lamp, and fiber optics are clean.

2 . Check slider operation after installing the forward clutch, reverse clutch, or slider solenoid.
3 . Be careful when removing the platen cover to prevent the fasteners from breaking. Only service
engineers and not the customers are supposed to take off the platen cover.

Do not touch the slider stopper pin, otherwise slider will be released.
D e v e l o p m e n t
1. Do not agitate the toner metering blade unless copy image problems occur. This is to prevent
damaging the toner metering blade.
2. Be careful not to nick or scratch the development roller surface.
3. Be careful not to use the black development unit for color copying, or the color development unit
for black copying.
