4. Registration

VVhen the leading edge of the paper contacts the registration plate, the paper stops.
then start to slip.
This slippage occurs because of the low pressure between the feed rollers and
follower roller on the development lower cover.
The registration plate stays up until the registration solenoid turns on. The registration solenoid
turns on 149 pulses after the slider home position switch has been actuated. This forces the
registration plate to lower and the paper is then fed to the transfer section by the relay rollers.
The first 3 mm of the original is not copied because it is shielded by a white strip under the exposure
glass.
The paper registration is
