Accounting Profile Types
The following table describes the account management algorithms that are represented by the
values in the Type drop-down lists under Acct. Profile.

Creating a Session Profile
To create a session profile
1. Enter the name of the session profile in the New Sess. Profile text box under the Session
Profile table; make sure that the name does not match any of the Names in the Session
Profile table.
2. Select the item in the Type drop-down list that matches the service requirements.
For a description of the session algorithms that the list items represent, see
Types."
3. Select the item in the Control drop-down list that matches the service requirements. Values
other than required are effective only when the service requires more than one Session
Profile. (For a description of the effect on result disposition and subsequent algorithm
invocation that the list items represent, see Profile Controls.)

Description
Returns PAM_SUCCESS when invoked.
pam_unix_acct.so.1.0 Provides the basic UNIX accounting mechanism by checking if the
password is still valid. If the password is expired for some reason, this
module logs in appropriate messages. This module also prompts for a
password change if the password is going to expire soon.

pam_unix_sess.so.1.0
Description
Returns PAM_SUCCESS when invoked.
Logs a message to indicate that a session has started or stopped.
