The following table describes the fields on the PoE tab.

Getting Started
Description
Displays the total power (in watts) available
to the switch.
Displays the power state of the switch:
• on
• off
• faulty
Displays the power (in watts) being used by
the switch.
Lets you set a percentage of the total power
usage of the switch above which the system
sends a trap.
Important:
You must enable the traps
(NotificationControlEnable) to receive a
power usage trap.
Lets you enable or disable sending traps if
the switch power usage exceeds the
percentage set in the UsageThreshold%
field.
Lets you set the power detection type that the
switch uses to detect a request for power
from a device connected to all ports on the
switch:
• 802.3af
• 802.3af and legacy support
• 802.3at
• 802.3at and legacy support
Important:
The default setting is 802.3af. Ensure that
this setting matches the setting for the
detection type used by the powered
devices on this switch.
