materialin Chapter2, please take the time to read the section on
installingthetonercartridge.Itisvery vitalthatyouha.ndleand install
thiscomponent p recisely,becauseit containsimportantlaserprinting
devices,as well as the toner("ink")thatactuallyprintson the paper.
Ordinaryoffice-weight p aperof standardsizescan be automatically
fed into the printer from the paper cassette. A differentcassetteis
requiredfor each size. For heavier-than-normal p aper, envelopes,
mailinglabels,andtransparencies, usethemanualfeedslot,locatedon
the mp of thepapercassette'scover.
The printer'son-offswitchis locatedat the rear.
THE FRONT PANEL
Thefrontpanelof theprinter(Fig.4-1)providesinformation aboutthe
printer'sinternaland operatingstatus. It also allowsyou to program
it foryour(andyourcomputer's) s pecificneeds.TheStarLaserPrinter
