Botha paralleland a serialcablecan be attachedto the printerat the
sametime,but onlyonecanbeactive. Beforeattachinganycable,be
surethepowersupplyis off on both theprinterand any computerto
whichthe cableis attached.
Parallel:
Whenyoufacethefrontof theprinter,theparallelconnectoris on the
rear left. Thisis a standard36pin,Centronicsconnection.To attach
a cableto theparallelconnector,matchthe wedgeshapeof the cable
end to the shapeof theconnector,and insertthecablefirmly. Secure
it with thelock clips(Fig.2-42).
