The StarLaserPrinter8 is a sophisticated pieceof equipment.Butits
routinemaintenance is simple,andrequiresonlya softcloth,a cotton
swab,and milddetergent.
Portionsof the interiorof the printerrequireperiodiccleaning. This
shouldoccuratthetimeyouchangethetonercartridge.Buttheyshould
be a part of routinemaintenance, a s well.
Topreventpaperdustfrominterfering withtheoperationoftheprinter,
each day you shouldwipe threeinteriorareas with a moistenedsoft
cloth (Fig.9-l):

Each day you shouldalso gentlyclean off the transfercoronawires,

tocleanthegroovenearthetransfercoronawires(Figs.9-8&9-9). Be
carefulnot to damagethewires.
