You may see unevenlyprintedpageswith white streaksor areas, or

White Streaks:
Thereare severalpossiblecausesof lightareason the printedpage:
Lowtoner- Checkto seeif the statusmessage
TONERLOW
is displayedonthescreen. If so,followtheproceduredescribedin the
chapter"SettingUp the StarLaserPrinter8."
1. Unplugthe printerand open the printercover. Removethe toner
cartridgeand throwit away.
2.open theupperfixingassemblycover,removetheusedfixingroller
cleaner,and throwit away. Note:Thisareamaybe hot,sousecaution
whenworkingnear it.
3.Openafreshtonercartridgepackage.Cleanthefixingrollerwiththe
cleaningpadthatcomeswiththenewfixingrollercleaner.Removethe
cleaningpad(throwitaway)andinstallthenewfixingrollercleanerin
the fixingassembly. Closethe fixingassemblycover.
4. Cleanthe transferguidewith a moistenedcloth.
5. Use thecottonswabto cleanthetransfercoronawires. Discardthe
used swab.
6. Use the wire cleaner stored within the printer to brush off the
dischargingpins. Replacethe wire cleanerin its holder.
7. RockthenewEP-Stonercartridgebackandforthseveraltimes,then
installit. Closetheprintercover.
8.Plugthepowercordbackintothewailsocketandrestarttheprinter.
Makeseveraltestprints to examineprintquality.
Unevenlydistributedtoner" If the TONER LOWmessagedoesnot
appear,you may haveto redistributethe tonerin the cartridge:
I. Unplugtheprinter. Opentheprintercoverhalfwayandremovethe
tonercartridge.
