Your Star LaserPrinter8 can print on automatically-fed paper whose
weightis between16and 36lb.It shouIdbebetween3.7and 7.5mik in
thickness,witha moisturecontentof 4-690by weight. Its smoothness
shouldbe 100-300Sheffield,with a minimumpH of 5.5, and an ash
contentof notmorethan 10%. It mustbe ableto withstandheatof 200
C forO.1second.It shouldbelcmggrainpaper,withcutedgesshowing
no visiblefray. There shouldbe no curl towardthe printingside. It
shouldbe packagedin reams in moisture-proof p olylaminate.Avoid
coated and extremelysmoothpapers, and those that are wrinkledor
containstaples. Do not use carbonlesspaperor multipartforms.The
type of paper used for photocopyingand the newer paper designed
specificallyfor laserprintersare suitable,includingCanonNP, Xerox
4024,GilbertNeu-TechandNeenah NP. However, S tarMicronicsdoes
not recommendany particularbrand, since it has no controlover the
contentand quality. Selectingsuitablepaperis yourresponsibility.
