ADJUSTMENT OF THE THREAD TAKE UP SPRING TENSION

INFO:
The tension of the thread take up spring needs to be adjusted in relation to the thread and sewing material in use.
The force should be always lower than the needle thread tension and it has strong infl uence on the seam quality.

03.30. ADJUSTMENT OF THE THREAD TAKE UP SPRING TENSION
GENERAL:
The tension of the thread take up spring should be strong enough to
secure keeping the needle thread tight during the entering of the
needle point into the sewing material.
STEP
Activate the ADJUSTMENT WIZARD
(02.04. / Page 17).
» until chapter 30 appears
on the display.
» confi rm.

Loosen screw and turn the rear tension disk
clockwise until reaching the desired tension adjustment.

Fix screw again.
» confi rm to proceed to the next point.

INFO: Stitch length is set to
0 mm, pedal is blocked,
the display shows the machine
position in degrees.
