03.12. NEEDLE RISE

GENERAL:
At stitch length 0 the hook point should meet the middle axis of the needle 2 mm
after the bottom dead centre.
INFO:
The needle rise is the distance from the bottom dead centre of the needle to the
position where the hook point is meeting the middle of the needle. In this position the
thread loop is caught.

STEP
Activate the ADJUSTMENT WIZARD
(02.04. / Page 17).
» until chapter 12 appears
on the display.
» confi rm.

Loosen screw .
Turn the needle bar into the bottom dead centre .

Set the gauge and the clamp
as shown in image 1 and fi x the clamp with the screw

Remove the gauge and turn the needle bar in sewing direction

until the clamp touches.
Turn the hook until the hook point is positioned in the middle
of the needle as shown in image 3.

Fix screw in this position (2 mm after the bottom dead centre).
» confi rm to proceed to the next point.
