Disassembly
CAUTION: Do not try to disass€mble the outboard
joint.
1. To r€move the boot band, pry up the locking tabs
with a screwdriver and raise the end of the band.
CAUTION: Tak€ care not to damage the boots.
NOTE: Carelullv clamp the driveshaft in a vise
with solf jaws.
INBOARO JOII{T
BEARING REMOVER
Remove the inboard joint and rollers.
Remove the circlip. then remove the spider using a
commercially available bearing remover.
NOTE: Before disassembly, mark the spider and
driveshaft so they can be reinstalled in their original
positions.
