Printer Problems

This section provides possible solutions to various problems you may encounter when
using the Print features.

Unable to Print

The table below lists possible solutions when you are unable to print.
Data remains in
the printer icon.
Data has been
sent to the
machine.

Possible Cause
The machine's power is not
ON.
The PC's cable is
disconnected.
The machine's cable is
disconnected.
An error has occurred in the
machine.
There is a problem in the
network connecting the PC
and machine.
The port is not activated.
The machine is connected
to multiple PCs.
No paper has been loaded.
There is no paper of the
specified size.
An error has occurred in the
machine.
Job execution has been
paused.
Remedy
Switch the machine's power ON.
Refer to "Power Source" (P.52).
Connect the PC's cable.
Connect the machine's cable.
Refer to "Interface Cables" (P.29).
Check the error information, and take the
required action.
Contact your Network Administrator.
Activate the port to use.
Refer to "Activating the Communication Port
To Use" (P.32).
Wait a while, and then try printing again.
Load paper.
Load paper of the specified size.
Refer to "Loading Paper" (P.75).
Check the error information, and take the
required action.
Use the screen to select whether to cancel
the job.
