Description
Optimizes the output
for a particular type
of content. You can
optimize the output
for text, printed
pictures, or a
mixture.
Manually adjust: Use
to manually optimize
the setting for text or
for pictures.
Text: Use to optimize
the text portion of the
copy where text
and/or pictures are
on the original.
Printed picture: Use
for line drawings
and preprinted
images, such as
magazine clippings
or pages from books.
Photograph: Best
suited for making
copies of printed
pictures.
off* Use to divide a
complex job into
smaller segments.
This is useful when
you are copying or
scanning an original
document that has
more pages than the
document feeder can
hold, or when you
want to combine
pages that have
different sizes into
one job. You can use
either the glass or the
document feeder to
scan the original
documents.
Prevents blank pages
in the original
document from being
included in the output
