Description
Select the
1 Clear disk
item to enable an external device for
job storage. Job storage is normally enabled only for the
Boot device. This will be grayed out unless the 99.09.68
error is displayed.
Select the
2 Lock Disk
item to lock (mate) a new secure disk
to this product.
The secure disk already locked to this product will remain
accessible to this product. Use this function to have more
than one encrypted disk accessible by the product, when
using the disks interchangeably.
The data stored on the secure disk locked to this product
always remains accessible to this product.
Select the
3 Leave Unlocked
an unlocked mode for a single service event. The secure disk
that is already locked to this product will remain accessible
to this product and uses the old disk's encryption password
with the new disk.
Select the
4 Clear Disk Pwd
item to continue using the non-
secure disk and clear the password associated with the yet
to be installed secure disk.
CAUTION:
Data on the missing secure disk will be
permanently inaccessible.
Select the
5 Retain Password
for this session only, and then search for the missing secure
disk in future sessions.
Select the
1 Secure Erase
item to erase all of the data on the
disk and unlock it if required.
This might take a long time.
NOTE:
The system will be unusable until the system files
are reinstalled. The ATA secure-erase command erases the
entire disk, including firmware. The disk remains an
encrypted disk. Erases entire disk including firmware. The
disk remains an encrypted disk.
Select the
2 Erase/Unlock
item to cryptographically erase all
data on the disk and unlock the disk to allow access to it
from any product.
NOTE:
The system will be unusable until the system files
are reinstalled. The process erases the crypto key. The disk
becomes a non-encrypted disk.
This item provides disk status information if any is available.
