INNER ROD AND LOCK NUT
• Install the special tool
CD
and pull up the inner rod .
09940· 52840 : Front fork inner rod holder
• Adjust the height @ of the inner rod by adju sting the lock
nut
®.
Height @: 14 mm

• TIghten the f ront fork cap with your finger. and tighten
the lock nut to the speci fied torque .
TIghtening torque: 20 N'm (2.0 kg-mJ
• When installing the front fork assembly , align the upper
line @ wi th the upper surface

of the steering stem up-
per bracket.
ADJUSTMENT
After installing the front fork, adjust the damping force as
follows .
DAMPING FORCE ADJUSTMENT
Slowly turn in the adjuster and find out t he adjuster is seat-
ed . From that position , turn back and find out first click that
is l -position then tum back and count the specified position
as
follow .
Standard setting: Tum back 9 -positions from
fully turned-in position
WARNING :
Be sure to adjust the damping force on both front fork legs
equally.
