RECHARGING OPERATION
• Using the pocket tester, check the battery voltage. If the
voltage reading is less than the 12.0V (DC). rec harge the
battery with a battery charger.
CAUTION :
When recharging the battery. remove the battery from the
motorcycle.
NOTE:
Do not remove the caps on the battery top while recharging.
Recharging time : O.7A for 5 hours or 3A for one hour
CAUTION :
Be careful not to permit the charging current to exceed 3A
at any time.
• After recharg ing, wait for m ore than 30 minutes and check
the batte ry voltage wi th a pocket tes ter.
• If the battery vo ltage is less than the 12. 5V , rec harge the
battery again.
• If battery voltage is still less than 1 2 .5V after recharging,
repl ace the battery with a new one .
• When a battery is left for a long term without using, it is
subject to discharge. When the motorcyc1e is not used for
more than 1 m onth (especially during the winter season),
check th e battery voltage once a month at least .
