Release the latches on the air cleaner cap.
Remove the end cap from the air cleaner
canister.

Remove the filter element.

Use a damp cloth to wipe the filter sealing
surface and the inside of the outlet tube. Make
sure that all contaminant is removed before
the filter is inserted.

Check new filter element gasket for damage
before installing.

Install the new filter element.

Install the end cap on the canister and secure.
Note: Be sure the discharge slot is pointing down.

Check the Oil Cooler and Cooling
Fins - Deutz Models
Genie requires that this procedure be performed
every 250 hours or quarterly, whichever comes
first.
Maintaining the oil cooler in good condition is
essential for good engine performance. Operating
a machine with a damaged oil cooler may result in
engine damage. Also, restricting air flow through
the oil cooler will affect the performance of the
cooling system.

Open the engine side turntable cover.
Oil cooler:

Remove the retaining fasteners from the
engine side cover. Remove the cover.

Inspect the oil cooler for leaks and physical
damage.

Clean the oil cooler of debris and foreign
material.

Service Manual
Bodily injury hazard. Do not
inspect while the engine is
running. Remove the key to
secure from operation.
Burn hazard. Beware of hot
engine components. Contact
with hot engine components
may result in severe burns.
