Valve Adjustments - Function
Manifold
How to Adjust the Function
Manifold Relief Valve
Note: Perform this procedure with the boom in the
stowed position.
Note: Auxiliary power will be used to perform this
procedure. Do not start the engine.
Note: Refer to Function Manifold Component list to
locate the system relief valve.

Hold the relief valve stem with a hex wrench
and loosen the lock nut.

Turn the valve stem counterclockwise several
turns. Do not allow the relief valve to come
apart. Tighten the lock nut.

Connect a 0 to 5000 psi / 0 to 350 bar
pressure gauge to the test port on the function
manifold

Simultaneously push and hold the auxiliary
power button and the primary boom retract
button with the primary boom fully retracted.
Observe the pressure reading on the pressure
gauge. Refer to Specifications, Hydraulic
Component Specification.

Hold the relief valve stem with a hex wrench
and loosen the lock nut.

Adjust the valve stem. Turn it clockwise to
increase the pressure. Tighten the lock nut.
7
Repeat step 4 to confirm relief valve pressure.
8
Remove the pressure gauge.
