Test the Key Switches

Genie specifications require that this procedure be
performed every 250 hours or quarterly, whichever
comes first.
Proper key switch action and response is essential
to safe machine operation. Failure of either key
switch to function properly could cause a
hazardous operating situation.
There are two key switches on the machine - the
Main key switch and the Service Bypass/Recovery
key switch.
The Main key switch controls machine operation
from the ground or platform controls.
When the Service Bypass/Recovery key switch is
turned to the service bypass position, the primary
boom can be raised while the axles are retracted.
This feature of the machine is especially helpful for
storage purposes or when loading the machine for
transport.
Note: When the boom is raised with the axles
retracted, the boom cannot be rotated past either
circle-end wheel.
