Remove the upper rollers from the
replacement section of cable track.

Lift up the hoses and cables and carefully
insert the new 4-link section of cable track.
Component damage hazard.
Cables and hoses can be
damaged if they are kinked or
pinched.

Connect the ends of the replacement cable
track section to the existing cable track using
the pins and snap rings.

Install the rollers onto the new section of cable
track.
10 Install the secondary boom cable track into
the secondary boom.
11 Operate the secondary boom up/extend and
down/retract functions through a full cycle to
ensure smooth operation of the new section of
cable track.

Primary Boom

How to Remove the Primary
Boom
Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting,
the O-ring (if equipped) on the fitting and/or hose
end must be replaced. All connections must be
torqued to specification during installation. Refer to
Specifications, Hydraulic Hose and Fitting Torque
Specifications.
Note: Perform this procedure with the boom in the
stowed position.

Remove the platform. Refer to repair
procedure, How to Remove the Platform.

Remove the platform mounting weldment and
the platform rotator. Refer to repair procedure,
How to Remove the Platform Rotator.

Remove the jib boom. Refer to repair
procedure, How to Remove the Jib Boom.
Note: When the jib boom is installed, the jib boom
angle sensor will need to be calibrated. Refer to
repair procedure, Jib Boom Bellcrank Angle
Sensor for the calibration procedure.
