WG102-500, WGAP150 ProSafe™ 802.11g Wireless Access Point

To set up the point to multi-point bridge configuration:
1.
Configure the wireless access point (AP1 on LAN Segment 1 in
a. Select Configuration > WDS.
b. Next to WDS Mode, select the Manual radio button.
c. Click the Edit hyperlink to the right of one of the nodes in the Manual WDS Settings
table.
d. On the Edit WDS screen, in the MAC Address field, enter the MAC address of the
corresponding wireless access points (AP2 on LAN Segment 2).
e. Static WEP is supported. NETGEAR recommends that you configure static WEP to
protect this communication. (You can do so on the Edit WDS screen.)
f. Click Save to save your settings.
g. Click the Edit hyperlink to the right of another node in the Manual WDS Settings
table.
h. On the Edit WDS screen, in the MAC Address field, enter the MAC address of AP3
on LAN Segment 3 in

Static WEP is supported. NETGEAR recommends that you configure static WEP to
protect this communication. (You can do so on the Edit WDS screen.)

Click Save to Flash & Activate to save and activate your settings.

Configure AP2 on LAN Segment 2 (see
mode with the remote MAC address of AP1.

Configure AP3 on LAN Segment 3 (see
mode with the remote MAC address of AP1.
4.
Verify the following for all wireless access points:
The LAN network configuration of the wireless access points are configured to
operate in the same LAN network address range as the LAN devices.
Only AP1 on LAN Segment 1 is configured in point-to-multi-point bridge mode, and all
others APs are configured in point-to-point bridge mode.
All point-to-point APs must have AP1's MAC address in their Manual WDS Settings
table.
All APs must be on the same LAN. That is, the LAN IP addresses of all APs must be
in the same network.
If using DHCP, all wireless access points should be set to obtain an IP address
automatically (as a DHCP client). For more information, see "Configuring IP Settings"
on page 20.
All wireless access points must use the same channel, authentication mode, and
security settings.
