This chapter gives tips on managing Fiery SI printing, and includes some
troubleshooting hints.
Administrator functions
Administration features are provided in the user software package and are built into the
color server itself. The following table tells you where to find information on these
features. Page references are in this manual.

Connecting the Fiery SI and Fiery SI Control Panel Setup
Setting up servers to manage and share printing services
Setting up printing, including installing a current Post-
Script printer driver and installing the PPD file for the
copier or printer
Installing optional user software: Fiery SI remote utilities
Installing color reference pages (CMYK swatches, PAN-
TONE Reference, color sample pages)
Printing to the Fiery SI
Setting job-specific options
Running remote utilities: Fiery XJ Spooler, Fiery XJ Down-
loader, Fiery XJ Scan, Fiery XJ Print Calibrator
Setting printer defaults, including default copier modes,
paper size handling, error handling
Setting copier model-specific options
Publishing the Direct connection, Print queue, or Hold
queue to end users on various platforms
Using Fiery SI utilities for managing job priorities, tracking
current jobs, canceling jobs, printing jobs in the Hold
queue, reprinting from the Printed or Hold queue
