Summary of Fiery SI network installation
Fiery SI

Fiery SI available on the network
Prepare a network node. Connect the
Fiery SI to the copier and to the network.
Configure UNIX, Windows NT and IPX
(Novell) servers to specify Fiery SI print
queues and Fiery SI users.
Install Fiery SI remote utilities on the
server and make installation disks for
client installations.
No special configuration of AppleShare
servers is required.
In the Fiery SI Control Panel Setup,
choose Server Setup, Network Setup,
Printer Setup and Job Log Setup. Set up
the Fiery SI for all active protocols.
At each workstation that will print to the
Fiery SI:
• Install the PostScript Level 2 printer
driver and the Fiery SI PostScript
printer description file (PPD), and
connect to one or more queues.
• For computers that will use them,
install Fiery SI remote utilities and
optional user software.
• Verify the Fiery SI in the list of printers
and run a test print.
