Symptom
Deskset cannot make or
receive phone calls and the
Gateway screen displays
Synchronizing....
I changed an extension
number, but the DID number
did not change.
My T1 trunk appears to be
locked up.

Probable Cause
The Gateway and the
Deskset are on different
subnets.
The Deskset is the only
device on the subnet.
DID numbers do not change
when extension numbers are
changed.
Incoming or outgoing calls
using the T1 trunk are
attempted before the
SYN/ACT LED is GREEN.
Corrective Action
The Gateway may display Synchronizing... for a few
seconds. This is normal and does not indicate a problem.
If this Gateway is the first device on the network,
Synchronizing... displays continuously until another
device is connected to the network.
If you need to use static IP addresses, ensure that all
system devices and any PCs from which you access the
WebUI have static IP addresses that are on the same
subnet.
Power cycle the Deskset by unplugging the power cord
and plugging it back in.
If power cycling does not work, the system administrator
can back up your Deskset and then reset it to factory
defaults by using a paper clip to press and hold the RESET
switch (located on the underside of the unit) for more
than five seconds. Restore your settings after restart.
Ask the system administrator to change the DID number.
Press the RESET button on the front panel of the T1
Gateway for less than 5 seconds.
Wait for the SYNC LED to turn
receiving any T1 calls or receiving calls on the T1
Gateway.
