Press the Tab key to select the Basic CMOS Configuration.

You see the System BIOS Setup - Basic CMOS Configuration screen. (See
Figure 2-5
Change the Boot 1st: field to TFTP.

Press the Tab key until you reach the Local IP Address field.
Step 6
Enter the local IP address for the switch, and press the Tab key.
Step 7
Enter the subnet mask for the IP address, and press the Tab key.

Enter the IP address of the default gateway, and press the Tab key.
Step 10
Enter the IP address of the TFTP server, and press the Tab key.
Step 11
Enter the image name (kickstart), and press the Tab key. Use the full directory path from the TFTP server
root directory.
The file name must be entered exactly as it is displayed on your TFTP server. For example, if you have

a file named MDS9500-kiskstart_mzg.10, then enter this name using the exact uppercase characters and
file extensions as shown on your TFTP server.
