Analyzing Switch Fabric Configuration

Select the Fabric Configuration option from the Fabric Manager Tools menu to analyze the
configuration of a switch by comparing the current configuration to a specific switch or to a policy file.
You can save a switch configuration to a file and then compare all switches against the configuration in
the file.
Figure B-4
You use a policy file to define the rules to be applied when running the Fabric Checker. When you create
a policy file, the system saves the rules selected for the selected switch.

Analyzing the Results of Merging Zones

Cisco Fabric Manager provides a very useful tool for troubleshooting problems that occur when merging
zones configured on different switches.
Select the Zone Merge option on the Fabric Manager Tools menu to determine if two connected switches
have compatible zone configurations.
