Storage System Features
Important: If only one power supply module is fitted, it must be installed in the lefthand slot with the
top AC input socket used for connection to the power source. A blanking plate must be
fitted to cover the empty righthand slot and the unused (lower) AC input socket. Operation
of the storage system with ANY modules missing will disrupt the airflow, and the drives
will not receive sufficient cooling. It is ESSENTIAL that all apertures are filled before
operating the system.

Power supply module voltage operating ranges are nominally 100V - 240V AC, selected
automatically. A typical power supply module is shown in Figure 6.

Multiple Power Supply Modules

The Intel® Storage System SSR212CC can be operated with one or two power supply
modules fitted in the power supply enclosure, providing dual-power sources for the
system so that if one power supply module fails the other maintains the power supply and
enclosure operation is not affected while the faulty unit is replaced.
