Replacing the Battery for an Intel
Caution: Before performing any maintenance on the storage system, back up the data. See the
operating system manual for instructions on shutting power the system.
1. Observe all safety and ESD precautions listed in
2. Remove the new battery backup unit from its packaging.
3. Disconnect both ends of the battery cable and remove from battery backup unit. (You
will not be using this cable for this procedure).

4. Remove the two screws securing the battery to the new battery backup unit.

5. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the storage system. Turn off the storage
system.
6. Disconnect the AC power cord(s).
